About
AtRails is formely meant to be a resource website/blog for Ruby on Rails. For those of you who do not have the slightest idea of what Ruby on Rails (aka RoR) I suggest first visit
My first contact with RoR happened absolutely accidentally half a year ago while browsing the web for “Web 2.0″ information. At that time I was fascinated by the sleek design of new web applications (I still am) like basecamp, gmail, del.icio.us, etc and RoR was fitting just right into the whole concept of Web 2.0 I have defined for myself.
6 months passed. I have got several books on Ruby and Rails since then. I have started several tiny projects that never reached production stage, but served well to learn RoR’ing!
Now (Jan. 07), I have set new goals for myself for 2007, which include progressive learning and development in Ruby on Rails. Therefore, I have started this website to motivate myself as well as to thank the RoR community by contributing as much as I can.
P.S. I never was a good writer and English is not my primary language. To start a blog sounded impossible for me few months ago. But, heck, maybe it’s a good way to improve my writing skills, right? “What doesn’t kill you makes you better”.
Hello 2007.
